thanks. She's 10 and 1/2, heading into 5th grade. We are supposed to repaint her room soon - she wants green & blue. She's outgrowing the pinks :( and starting to head into the "tween" life - a little more mature and less little girl. Hard to watch it happen although I will say she's easier now than she was when she was younger. she's a pistol of a personality!

As for her room, thanks for the compliment. It's normally a huge mess, but the cleaner came the day before, and she went with her cousins a day early for our family trip, so it's staying a bit neater. I should've taken a picture of the other side (yikes!!) where there a piles of crud everywhere! Just goes to show you how some pictures don't tell the whole story!

Oh I know about kids' rooms, believe me. I raised four, three girls and a boy. Now my little granddaughter is going through the pink (and purple) phase. She has a pink room with many pink and purple accessories. When she was five, she very much wanted a Betty Boop quilt, so, as a loving grandmother, I made her a wonderful one. Now the only clashing statement in her room is her Betty Boop quilt which has many wild colors in it. In fact, in keeping with Betty's love of glamorous clothes, I even put some leopard print in the borders and sashings to go with one of Betty's outfits. My granddaughter still loves the quilt even though it matches nothing else in her room.
