my dear jane is done.

Wow, that's beautiful. I just love those scalloped edges. I know Dear Jane's take dedication. I'm not sure I have the patience but I'm seriously considering doing one of these. My husband and I are sailors and I think the squares would be perfect projects to do onboard. Might not get it done quickly but I think that's a plan. I'm gonna build me a Dear Jane project box, yep that's what I'm gonna do.

jacqi, dig your jane out, and sew one block a day, and whatever else you do or make. AND you will get it done. work on it whenever you need a break from something else. quilting my jane was done, when i sat down to rest from canning, babysitting, cooking, other quilts, etc.
AND i could not have gotten her done with out the ladies here on the board 'talking' me thru. like the scallops were just giving me fits. i printed the patterns off several times, and redrew them on the quilt several times. ripped the binding off 3 times. and restarted, and i had already used practice material 3 or 4 times. didn't like the depth, or the dips. even changed colors the last time. didn't like the shapes over my kites. tried the way janstar did her's, and liked the shape, then.

you would be surprised how quickly she'll be done at that rate. because when you don't want to work on it, one block will do. then other days, you'll do 3, because you had already started. the trick is to always have her real handy, so you don't have to dig her out to work on it.
