KLlue - I think your timeline is realistic, if not probably q bit quick. How many blocks a month would that be? Quite a few...but if we all keep each other motivated with ideas, pictures and other tales, I think it will go by faster than we think!! I'm looking forward to the process as much as the final quilt!!

Yes, butter cream would be great - I'll keep my eyes open as these months come upon me - it's going to be here before we know it!

Your fabric is luscious! I don't know what a Dear Jane quilt is. Is there a link for photos?

we'd be doing about 5-6 blocks a week. we could extend it out to 12 months total to do all the piecing which would be about 4 blocks a week.

the blocks are 4.5 inches so it can move quickly except for the applique pieces.

my thoughts are to do 1 block a day after dinner during the week and then on the weekend finish what i didn't get to during the week.

Probably a creamy color, or an off white on off white - something subtle, but I'm trying to stick with modern fabrics. I think it's one of those where

I think batiks will be awesome. Are you going to do it with the group in January?
Yes, I am. I'm already getting excited.

    Your colors really are great.

I'm very visual and I just can't picture this quilt in those gorgeous fun mod colors or a red and white colorway. I'm thinking if I actually manage to visualize it I'd have to sign up too....maybe it's better i can't see it!
