I am making this quilt for a great niece who is expecting a baby boy in June. Working by the seat of my pants and helpful suggestions from a friend. Do you have any suggestions? Haven't come up with a border idea yet. What do you think?

I just love it! I made my niece a "farm quilt" in March and used South Seas matching fabric that made a white picket fence.

A rail fence for the border?

Cute quilt ... and will provide lots of fun!!
Perhaps include a story book or two about the farm!

make the border with a combination of animals motifs maybe can be quilted in. Use a green border and do big stiches that rwesembles animals and put his name in it.
