Beautiful quilt and lucky doll! Tell her we all welcome her to the club. Can't wait for my DGD to be old enough to join.

She is as pretty as her quilt. We have a 8 year old in our learning group. Would you mind sharing what technique you use to teach her piecing?

I did the first two rows for her and showed her how to connect the seams and showed her where to put the pins, then watched her as she did the rest. She's a fast learner . There are a few mistakes but you can't really see them in the picture. Some of the squares are bunched up.

You have to be very ,very proud of her and thank you for your respond. At present our youth is sewing 2 and 3 inch strips on 10 inch squares of paper to learn 1/4 inch seam. Your respond will be very helpful when she start putting the squares together.

What a terrific job she did! Seems like trusting young ones with our precious "grown-up" machines (under supervision) lets them know that we think they are capable. Hope that you get some new sewing buddies out of your efforts.
