I think that's amazing! My DH and I would drive each other crazy having the same hobby but we're still trying to find that wood/fabric thing that we could combine together for a shared project!

that is so pretty!! I really love it! I sometimes wish my husband would like to help me with quilting, but I guess he probably wishes I would enjoy hunting and taxidermy. I suppose its ok to have our own hobbies!

This is such a precious story and obviously a precious hubby. Honey, if he cuts out enough 2 1/2 squares to make a quilt like that and doesn't complain, I would also be happy to fill his bobbins.

You have a keeper ... hubby and his quilts. Do keep us posted on the quilting machine. This should be FUN!! So glad you both can enjoy your craft.

I have been trying and trying to get my husband sewing, but he would rather be making bullets for his guns. Sad..he has nothing to show for his work except to make more.

Buy him an accuquilt and start selling his cut squares, and that will keep him away from your "longarm" when you get it..lol

Great job. How wonderful that you can both do something you enjoy doing together.

Hope it works!!!! Really I never expected my DH to conform. I eased him into it. Now he gets a little braver and braver. Maybe it won't be too long before be will fill his own bobbins

I don't think he'd ever sell his squares. He's got them stacked in neat little piles all over the house plus in all those plastic shoeboxes. He just keeps marking a cutting more. Some of the ladies at our church have given him their scraps. We wash and iron them and then he marks and cuts and sews. It's pretty cool to get him interested. The only thing is.... he gets to wrok on his more than I get to work on mine.

Lucky you to have a husband who will join you in quilting. I keep trying to get my husband to try it. I have a friend who got a mid arm frame set up and guess who does all the quilting on it? You guessed it, her husband. She hasn't even tried it yet and it has been over a year. I tell my husband if he let me get a frame set up then he can quilt with it.
