My Downton Abbey DWR
#21
Thank you very sincerely for all the nice comments. I can't take credit for selecting the fabrics. They were in the kit that went with Gail Kessler's Craftsy class. I had never had any desire to make a DWR until I saw the photo of Gail's--then I was hooked, because it was so pretty!
Maureen NJ - I did not paper piece the arcs. A complete CG ring is a little more than 17" across.
gml - No, you don't have to have Judy's foundation papers to use the CG templates. Since the set doesn't include individual templates for the arc pieces, I resized Gail Kessler's templates to fit the CG arc, like so:

You could have more or fewer pieces in the arc, depending on how many fabrics you wanted to use.

One more question. What is the finished size to the outside of the quilt. Looks like you had enough fabric. I was looking again at the closeup. Great SID and I love the simplicity of the quilting design. Doesn't take away from the piecing. Love it!
