Default my DWR is done yay!

Thanksgiving I got the big ideal to make my first double wedding ring quilt - for my nephew's wedding. I knew it would be a big job and it was even bigger than I expected. But I am finally done! All I have to do now is wash it and take it to the bridal shower. I am soo excited.

This was the first quilt I ever sent out to be long armed quilted and she did a gorgeous job

The bride picked yellow and gray for her bedroom colors, so that is why I picked the colors that I did. The outside light really washed out the colors, but you will get the idea

Overall I am happy with it - - for myself I would have picked a different color than yellow.. but its not for me. Maybe the next one will be for me

    Thanks for looking!

Oh, wonderful!! I just bought grey and yellow fabric yesterday at a rural Mennonite country store i discover about 16 miles away. (Paid less than $7 per yard of really good quality stuff, too, I'm ecstatic to have found the place!) Haven't decided yet what to make with it, but it will be for our guild's community quilts, nothing so lovely as your work!!

It's gorgeous. I don't think I could part with it. It's a great leap of faith when you send out your first quilt to a longarmer. Yours did a fantastic job.

Beautiful! I vow that I WILL make a DWR before I die. It's my favorite quilt pattern ever. I need to study some tutorials or take a class to get over my fear first though. I love the soft yellows and fears.
