Can't wait to see the finished product. It has been so interesting to watch your design process. I love the colors you selected.

Hi everybody! I'm going to start sewing the strips together now. Since I'm working without a pattern and don't want to mess it up, I'm going to start sewing about in the middle. There is a point there where I know that just one black would go there, 2 would go next, etc. I'll work from the middle to the outside edge. Let's see how it goes..... Thanks for the interest.

Well, so far so good! I got section 2 sewn to section 6! Yeah!!! Now for sections 1 and 5. Here's a picture. Right now this strip measures about 105" but I haven't "un-sewn" the far end yet. I'm not going to mess with that until I get them rest sewn together so I can tell how long it really is. By the way, this would probably be the only "thriller movie" in history to be rated "G". LOL Enjoy the update!

Hi! Just a short update. I'm sewing the wedge pieces in now. Since I had to sew the main focus areas together already, I'm doing the wedges in steps. First, I sewed a strip of 7 colors, as needed, to each edge where they would go. Then, I sewed the middle seam together on them all. Now, I have the wedge strips sewn in. Now, I just have to sew the long seams together to join the strips.
    Thanks for you interest!

Alright! Yea!!!! I did it!!! It's 3:32AM but I got the first and largest wedge added in!!! I still have the bargello in 4 sections. I laid them all out now so you can see how much is sewn together so far. I really like it. Thanks again for your interest, your encouragement, and your wonderful comments and compliments!
    Marilyn

See how much is sewn together now? This is from the first side I started on. 4-7-10
