Hi everybody! Happy Saturday! I have a new picture. I don't know if you can tell it or not but I made another thin section and added it to the far side by the stove. It'll make the quilt about 9" wider. Laid out now, the width is 86" but there will be 4 seams to sew, leaving about 84" wide.

This 2nd picture shows the far end of the quilt. I need to remove the ends of alot of those strips next. Then on the right I need to finish adding my strips. And last but not least, I'll fill in the wedge on the left. I'll post pictures along the way.

Thanks for watching this post. I have enjoyed all of your comments, encouragement and compliments.

    Marilyn

I've got the strips un-sewn at the unfinished end of the quilt now. I also got some more strips sewn on. I need to finish sewing the last 8 strips on and then sew the seams on them to connect them all.

Then, there is the upper left corner wedge. It's only about 3' x 18". The total size laying on the floor now is about 86" x 101". So, not much more to do on the top. Yea!

The last edge to finish up. 4-10-10

Update. I got the rest of the strips added on and all of the seams sewn. Now, all I have to do is fill in the wedge and then sew the 5 sections (or 5 long rows/strips) together. Soon the top will be completed.

I can't believe how fast the quilters on here get their projects done. Makes me dizzy just to think about it....LOL

Hi Daisey! Do you mean what kind of Bargello is this? If so, it's just another 'Marilyn Original'. I know that they are
called "twisted" Bargello's, but I don't have a book on them or a pattern. That's why I'm calling it "My Experimental Bargello".
I'm just making it up as I go along. I love it. It is very pretty and it is going to work out just fine. (I didn't know that when I first started this project.) Thanks for looking.
