    Fabulous idea. I have thought of doing portraits that way using counted cross stitch designs. Where there is a will, there is a way! I love your design and it looks perfect to me.

    kudos! you should be pretty darn proud of yourself! this is beautiful! i found a blog not long ago that the blogger had done a couple of the fair isle "snowflakes" in a quilt, red & white like you did. i loved the idea & at the time i thought it would be pretty easy to pattern. sort of like converting a cross stitch to quilt pattern. your quilt, i think, is even prettier than the other one i saw. congrats on what you've created!
