Thank you, RuthRings! ... the Red (first in Canada) was for first in it's class. The pink one is for the Grand Champion of all machine/LAQ quilts at the fair, which means it will go on to compete with the Grands of all in the Fairs in the District (25 fairs) in the fall. They have a separate Grand for hand quiliting.

Me too, BrendaK! ... I find that every time I look at it I see something different about the LAQ that she did for me. And each time I look at the piecing, a lot of memories come back from along the PC trail, as well as my own past stories that I have woven in to this quilt.

You were there with us, Evie, when doing the FWS, and I missed you during the PC. Time to show us an updated pic of your FWS! Thanks too, I know I am fortunate to have my LAer!

Well done QuiltE! It's about time this quilt had it's own thread ... some of us have been drumming our fingers waiting. I finally get to see some close-up's of the great quilting your LA'er did. Congrats again on the ribbons!!

No, not over the fear .... but did bite the bullet and purchase the software.

Think about it .. DJ is 4" blocks whereas FWS was 6", and PC 8".
Add to it that I have basically not done any applique ...... eeeeeek!!
AND .... there are more blocks in DJ than FWS+PC!!!
However, I did enjoy the 6" more than the 8".

And Yes MissyDHMom .. you BETTER be doing DJ with me!!!!!!!!!
I think we could easily twist Kitsie's arm to "coach" us!

Kitsie ... up for the challenge?
