A nice job of sewing...looks like he may stick with it.

I sat my sons down at the sewing machine at least once....they made pillows. Couldn't convince them to stick with it. One of my fondest memories as a child was watching my Gfather sew.

No, he didn't really do it by himself. I told him last year I wanted HIM to sew a top (or two--wanted him to learn to sew) so I ordered the ping pong fabric, and while we were in the states, I found the Star Wars and Marvel fabrics and bought a bit of each of those because I knew he would like them. I had previously found the free pattern (Memento by Benartex fabrics--link is in the other post--) and thought it would be perfect for a beginner.

However, we added to the top, bottom and sides to make it bigger than the original pattern, keeping the same style.
