I hope I can answer this question,so it makes sense!! After sewing on the first row to the yellow center, I press each of the little seams open, then I press the yellow center open over the little seams. I have no idea if this is right or wrong, but that's how I am doing it. Thank you for looking & asking!!

Beautiful blocks. Now, you're hooked! Hexis are like potato chips..........you can't eat (sew) just one! What size hexagons are you using? Are you doing EPP?

I am in the process of quilting my 3rd hexie quilt. I use 1 inch paper hexagons, and do EPP. All hand done. Planning the 4th one in my head at this time. Can't wait to finish up #3 so I can get started on #4!

    Keep up the good work.

I got the biggest kick out of your comment about Hexi's being like potato chips!! I hadn't thought of them that way, but you are so right!! I am using a 3 1/2" plastic hexagon shape to cut my pieces out with. No, I am not EPP them together. Instead I am sewing them together on the sewing machine. My Mother is making the same as I am, but she is hand sewing her's together & this will make her second quilt like it, when she gets all done. We are So HOOKED & I love it. Please be sure to keep us posted with pictures of your quilts too.

Very nice blocks. I love the grandmother's flower garden quilts. I have an antique one that my greatgrandmother made and it's beautiful.
