    You did a fantastic job for your first attempt, and your stitches are great. They look the same size, and are evenly spaced. When I took a work shop in hand quilting the instructor said my stitches were evenly spaced and that's what I should strive for, they don't have to be really, really tiny, just even, and yours are. Great job.

    I think it's just beautiful. For quite some time I've wanted to do a Hawaiian Applique, even tried making a pattern but had too many sharp angles. Maybe I'll try again. Nice job!!!

    My daughter and family went to Hawaii this summer, and brought me a book of patterns for Hawaiian quilting, but it looked so hard. Now that I've seen yours, I think I might really try to do a small wallhanging for their bedroom. I love how you used the batiks! Thanks for sharing this!
