My First Attempt at a OBW
#1
This is my very first attempt at a One Block Wonder. I sewed almost all of the hexagons by hand when I was in Texas visiting my son last year. Machine sewed the blocks and rows together. I can see I have a few that are misplaced, but this was a practice quilt and will just be used in the living room as a throw quilt.
I will be buying the book that teaches how to make the tumbler blocks this week so I'll start another one. I really like how the tumbler blocks makes the quilt.
Hope you all like it, not my favorite quilt by far, but was great practice!

It is beautiful. To you, you see things you would change, to me, I see gorgeous and things are as they should be
Tumbling blocks are so fun. You have the method down, now you just have to change the fabric a little

You did a great job. I feel the same way about my first OBW (finished about a week ago). I enjoyed the process but more than that I learned so much about all the facets of making an OBW that my next attempt should really be fun, not to mention I might even like it! lol
Thanks for sharing. ;-)

I love your colors! I just bought the book you are talking about and am anxiously looking forward to getting started on one. Until I joined this board, I really didn't know a thing about One Block Wonders, but I find them beautiful and fascinating. I hope I'm up to the challenge.
