The pattern is called Lightning Strikes by Chris Timmins. I got the pattern out of an old Australian Patchwork and Quilting magazine (Vol 13 no 3, May 2005) and I have also found it

I only started quilting last May so if I you can sew a straight line then you can do this too.

For anyone that wants to try one they are not that scary once you see how they are done.

Thanks again for all your wonderful comments, I will post another photo when I finish quilting it

I wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be and I'm really pleased with the way it has turned out. It is mean't to have a border but I'm not going to put one on as it is plenty big enough on our bed as it is.
I am going to give quilting it a go myself, which should be a bit of a challenge as this is my first big quilt, I have only made tablerunners and a single sized quilt.
By the way the pattern is called "lightning strikes" by Chris Timmins.
Oh wow. Your quilt is absolutely stunning! Great fabric choices. Bargello's really are a lot easier than they look, aren't they?

Oh Woody! This quilt is stunning. My favorite colors. I bet I would still be working on it 3 YEARS later! You did a terrific job.
