the first time for a wonky braid (my own idea)! Guess I needed a break from all the piecing so took up the challenge of doing this Orange Peel block. Couldn't wait to try my hand at it and it sure is challenging! Love applique but have done so little of it. Drew my own pattern; they're 2" blocks. Pattern is included if you'd like it.

The wonky braid was most fun and the only rule is "make sure nothing lines up right!" Don't you love it? Hope you'll try my mini and post pics for all to see. Thanks for looking!

Wonderful work. Love the wonky braid! Nothing is harder than random.

I had four small pieces of the braid left over along with four extra leaves so what do you do with the leftovers? You make another mini of course! This one is 3.75" by 5".

Thanks, Chele! So glad you love it and yes I was particular about the selection of fabrics - could only use 36 different ones. It was fun!
