    ok I'm not really a purple sort of person but you really need to keep it. It helps the trees come alive and by the way I really LOVE the tree fabric in there.

    i would do another block unit or 2 and lay them down to see how the quilt 'grows' together. the color combination was used in a block of the month quilt i did, and it turned out vibrant. and nice. really, it's really your final call, and what 'you' like. :)
