    Keep the purple. If you want to change something, find a darker charcoal. The small squares are the same intensity (value) as the other fabrics, so they don't show off the pattern. If they were darker (or lighter), the pattern would work better.

    Has anyone ever done a D9P in Batik? I have some batik fabric and wanted to see what it would look like to do the D9P. Possibly for a baby Quilt..?
