Thank you. I'm blushing from everyones kind words.
Ok, off the top of my head the symbols mean...
The bear is symbolic of motherhood and feminimity, the raven is healing and protection, Lizards represtent conservation and dreaming, The circular design that looks a little like a face is called Tawa Kachina and is a Hopi symbol for the sun. Um... handprint is for the acheivemets of man and the thunderbird is for truth and honesty.
I can't remember any more at the moment, but that's some of them. Were there any symbols in particular you wanted to know about?

You have done a magnificent job! It's good that you are preserving your culture through this quilt. It means more than you realize at this time. i like that you designed each block. I think this is a good idea as a quilter. It means that you are expressing what's in your heart and not always using someone else's design. My first quilt was a Queen-size Ohio Star. A friend asked why I chose a pattern with so many pieces. It never occurred to me that this was a lot for a beginner. I hand-pieced and hand-quilted it!! I guess it's good when you choose something and just go for it.
