    Default My first finish for 2016

    I started this quilt last fall, but then got side-tracked by Christmas and the birth of our 1 # 12 oz grandson. I've finally finished it and quilted it all on my new Pfaff Expression that my husband and children surprised me with at Christmas. I love the pattern, and found it on a web site called Gathering Threads - the original pattern, called Emily's Wedding Quilt was in a Fons and Porter's Love of Quilting magazine. That back pattern was one of those "What Was I Thinking!" type of moments. Trying to match the front to the back was more of a challenge than I was prepared for.

    Very nice scrappy quilt. Yes, it is very difficult to try to get the back of a large quilt to align with the blocks on the front of the quilt.
