You are much braver than I for a first free motion project ! Hats off to you for a first free motion project. Mine looked like a bad old fashioned hair net had fallen on my quilt.

Someone gave me some great advice once about where to start; she said, "start in the lower right quadrant of your quilt because the eye travels there last and people are less likely to notice imperfections there." I've been doing it that way ever since.

What a great piece of advise and so very true. I'll have to remember that.

I wish I looked that good my fist time with FM quilting.
