Love "I Spy" quilts. I think they are fun for any age....your Grands will love this too..... I had not seen this particular layout. I may try it someday and as for the back....once it's washed, the puckers will not show. It's very cute! Piecing the back kind of makes it an I Spy too.......and is a great way to use up the leftovers......

Very cute!! Our 2nd oldest DGD was next for a quilt. I was visiting with a good friend from quilting one day. Abot 3 weeks ago, she called and said; "I have your "I Spy" quilt for Caroline done!! I about dropped my teeth.
She had just moved here, and hadn't gotten mixed up in anything yet like I have. So, she went to her scraps and got enough for a double "I Spy." That is where you have 2 of everything and then another pair like it, so that 2 children can play and both find the same ones. It was new to me also!
Anyway, I was thrilled to have it made, and the quilter got it quilted for me to enter in the county fair. She loves it, and all 3 girls play with it.
I have 2 panels and am going to make her little sister one for Christmas. It has a lot of Ronald McDonald figures on it, and other familiar items. It is all in Red, so guess lots of White with lots of other light borders to tame down the Red!
Kids love anything Grandma makes,I have decided!
