Y'all are so kind. I had always avoided log cabins because they just "looked" too complicated for this semi-beginner. Then we had a workshop at our guild with Flavin Glover and she just opened a whole new world for me. I chose the courthouse steps as my first one because that seemed a little easier for me to keep up with the pieces and where they should go. Plus, she explained it all so well. As for the rocking chair picture, I love my front porch rockers, and that just seemed like a good place to take a picture. A photographer I am not.
