Hi everyone, just wanted to share this "Newbie's" first machine quilt I sewed back in July, 2010 for my new GD to be born in September, 2010. I flew home from Wisconsin and surprised my daughter at her baby shower. I have made a couple hand made quilts by "cheating", just buying fabric that had squares made or designs already and looked like a quilt! Put a backing and binding on and done. I did not have a machine but enjoyed what I did. Well, now I do have a nice little machine and can learn and share and hopefully get a lot of "HELP". Hope you enjoy my pics.

How adorable! Liked your step by step. My first quilt completely quilted by me was for my grandson who is now almost 6 months. I too am looking for more fabric for the next one. Probably an I Spy for when he begins to talk.

A lovely girly quilt for a beautiful GD. Thanks for sharing. So cute how your GD is ready to go with purse in hand-she knows how to shop...
