    Thanks for the tip Connie, I didn't even think of the poly melting. I am learning. lol
    found a paper piece harry potter pattern last night on one of the free patterns sites. My cousin is harry potter crazy. We decided we are going to tackle that one together. She said she may take a while finding the right material so I told her it could be out fall project and that gives me time to learn more from all the wonderful ladies on this board.

    Thank you to all the encouraging comment on my first papaer piece block. I had fun. looking forward to doing more this week when the kids get back to school. Hubby asked me yest. if I was going to sew all day. lol I said YES!

    so much fun ! I started out with log cabin pot holders with Christmas fabrics.. Perfect for starting !! Good idea.

    Insilbright something like that the spelling is wrong with cotton batting it helps deflect the heat from your hand.Connie in CO
