My very first quilt was pp'd also. I happen to love paper piecing but have many friends that absolutely hate it. I, however, would not do a very large quilt with the pp'd technique, I think it's wonderful for small quilts though. My guild makes pp'd greeting cards to sell at our simi-annual quilt show. It's a 3" square, pp'd, glued into a cut out on card stock and made into a card. They sell very well. One more thing: I used to use typing paper but just found out about Doodle Pad's that you buy at craft stores. (they're meant for children to draw on.) The paper is very thin and can be put through a printer. They are 9" x 12" so you have to cut the paper down to 8 1/2 x 11 to fit the printer. You get 60 sheets for about $3, or less, I really can't remember what I paid for them. Certainly less expensive than typing paper or Carol Doak's paper.
