My first PP and another "original" project....
#1
This is a pic of my first PP - for some reason the paper is wanting to curl so it looks a bit funky. I short changed myself on two of the corners, but I am hoping I can still catch it in the seam allowance when I put a border on...
The other is what DH has coined a "loulder" quilt which was his special request (and a WIP well over a year now  ). His shoulders get cold easily which is his biggest complaint if he is sleeping in the recliner with one of the babies... now he can cover one shoulder and still have the other side open for the baby :) Too sweet, huh? "Loulder" is a combo of lap and shoulder. I still have to add quite a bit in borders since he's about 6'1" and wants it to cover both his feet and shoulder(s). I don't know if it's too obvious, but there is a slit down the middle of the first block to separate the two halves. I'm not sure how it's going to work when I go to add the binding, but we'll see! I just need to get it done before April!

Not too shaby :)

Wow! I'm surprised that post went through - my computer acted like it froze up so I just closed it out and was working on another post...
I really liked the tree and house... I thought they were pretty cute. We just built a new house this summer and it's pale yellow with a dark red roof so I made this to match!

Love the wonky tree! your fabric choice really accents the "wonkiness" of the tree. If you feel the corners are shortchanged you can just add another piece of your background fabric at a wonky angle, then trim it back to what you need--and no one will ever know that it wasn't part of the design!
