    not as good as everyone else's. too many seams in the center made it too bulky for a beginner. excuses, excuses..... :roll:

    I have to book "Painless Paper-Piecing" by Marjorie Rhine and she had the same complaint--bulky seams. She has a different technique for paper piecing using very few pieces of paper. The way she does it you can press the seams anyway that does not create bulk.

    I love your color choices and you made a beautiful block! Good Job! :thumbup:

    i was surprised at how square it ends up being and how well the seam allowances work out on the outside edges. next time, only 4 central seams, not 12. :lol:

    this was the carol doak way, but not her pattern. at ninnie's insistence (that pest) i bought the cd and learned the technique. at this point in my paper piecing career, i can't imagine making an entire queen quilt this way.
