Oh my !!! What a touching story. I suppose the heats of every quilter on this thread went pitty pat when they read it. I think this is why we all quilt. To have our family members remember us in such a momentous way as you have your grandma.

Bless yor heart for doing this for her, so her memory will be charished. And, her story told with love. Your story is forever entwined with hers now.
Hi and welcome sweet lady to the board from Northern Nevada.

Thank you for sharing your story. Speaking for myself, I am thrilled you shared this story for us. From the looks of the other posts, many from this board have been touched, also.

Welcome from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

We are happy you are here!!!

I want to thank you for taking the time to share this beautiful story with us. What a wonderful idea to make quilts for your family using her blocks. The other part of this is that you could be inspired by this wonderful person enough to want to share her with your family and then with all of us.
Welcome from Argentina. Glad you stopped "lurking" and decided to share. I along with the rest of the forum was touched by this loving gift. Please share some more when you can.
