    That's a very pretty quilt. I'm sure your MIL will love it. You've done a great job working out your lights and darks for the patt, Well done :thumbup:

    Oh that is soooo, so pretty CassandraE. What a wonderful first quilt. You just can't go wrong with a log cabin! I love all your bright colors. I think you've got the right idea to stitch in the ditch. There are so many seams in a log cabin that it's difficult if you have to keep crossing those seams. In the ditch can be very effective with the right pattern, and I think log cabin is one of those. :)

    Good job!! Your MIL will be thrilled.
