My First Quilt
#41
Hey, thanks everyone for the nice comments!
Well, after talking with my family and doing a few days of soul searching, I decided to give it to my friend. She really helped me out when I was quite ill, and since her dad recently passed, I decided it was time for me to help her out. Anyway, she loves the quilt-told her husband he is not allowed to touch it! We have several mutual friends, and I think every one has told me how much she loves her quilt. So-o, I think I made the right decision, even though it was hard to give away. I am working on a quilt for me, and if I ever get it done, I will post a pic. I am also hand quilting it, as I did hers, but mine is queen size so is taking longer.

I think it's wonderful. But I agree with others who posted that you should keep your first quilt and make another one to give away. Not because this one isn't good enough. I would be honored to receive this quilt as a gift. I just think that someday you might wish you had kept your very first quilt for yourself.
