    They are permanent ONLY when you don't want them to be :)
    They do bleed and fade so be sure to heat set and hand wash in vinegar after each color for a more durable coloring...

    I drew out my design with regular sharpies and sprayed it with 90% alcohol. It will bleed. After that I took fabric sharpies(I just found them the last time I went shopping) and traced it. Heat set and your done.
    The fabric sharpies don't bleed with alcohol. We tried it.

    I saw this technique in a quilting
    Mag this month! A lot of outline sewing but beautiful when done. Think she used it as wall hanging. I think was aug issue of quilters world??
