    Actually to clear things up, I bought the material as yardage...I didn't cut and piece each square. That is why I called it cheating, because I just bought a few yards worth of this beautiful fabric and cut it in half then sewed the sections together and put the binding on it. When I made this, I was planning to make a tied quilt so I could get it done in a weekend. Then, I came across this material at Wal-Mart and decided to use it instead of actually piecing. lol

    Nice job! It still qualifies as a quilt and you still put some hard labor in it.

    Your cheater looks good :lol: I did buy two xtra wide cheater material.. I purchased the double wedding ring... As soon I as I get the hinterberg set up I am using them as my practice material.. The way I look at it a quilt is a quilt is a quilt :wink:

    My Grandma ALWAYS ties her quilts. I remember playing with the yarn when I was a kid. Actually, my Mom always ties hers, too, and there is one lying on my leg right now. It's also just a solid piece of fabric (flannel).
    A quilt is a quilt is a quilt...no matter the how. :D
