My First tied quilt
#12
Actually to clear things up, I bought the material as yardage...I didn't cut and piece each square. That is why I called it cheating, because I just bought a few yards worth of this beautiful fabric and cut it in half then sewed the sections together and put the binding on it. When I made this, I was planning to make a tied quilt so I could get it done in a weekend. Then, I came across this material at Wal-Mart and decided to use it instead of actually piecing. lol

Nice work!
My Grandma ALWAYS ties her quilts. I remember playing with the yarn when I was a kid. Actually, my Mom always ties hers, too, and there is one lying on my leg right now. It's also just a solid piece of fabric (flannel).
A quilt is a quilt is a quilt...no matter the how. :D
Pretty fabric, too!
