As I have already stated I'm new to quilting and thought that I would post pics of my first two quilts. The mauve one is the very first one that I made. I made it for our spare bedroom and I had it machine quilted. The second one is a baby quilt. It is not finished yet. I'm undecided as to tie it or have it quilted.

You did a nice job, I can tell you are not new at sewing. Can't wait to see what you do next.

I love both your quilts. You can send me the mauve one will go perfect in my bedroom. I would tie the baby quilt.

wow..new quilter?...you did a wonderful job. I would never tie..yes, it would be easy, and faster, and I've already told everybody how fast and easy I like it, but they don't hold up over time, combining, tying and stitching, hand or by machine, will last longer.

very nice job. I tie myself but it's your choice of course. I like big fat fluffy quilts, that's why I like to tie them. I have only made 2 but I love the way they look when tied. I do quilt my scenics, well I do a lot of decorative stitches. :-)

Thanks for all of your feed back on how to finish the baby quilt. I still haven't made up my mind yet. Also thanks for the encouragement. Like I said I'm new at this and am also self taught. I don't have anyone in my family who does quilting, so I'm sure that I'll have to ask lot of questions of all of you once I venture into harder patterns.
