Not laughing here ... I bought the very same machine back in 1980. No complaints here. I've often wondered if anyone on this board had this machine. Happy to see it here. ;-)

i just bought an older singer for $5. at a garage sale, can't wait to try it out.

Went Saturday to a local church that holds Estate Sales. They had
2 old Singers, the one with cabinet was $175.oo and the hand held
one was $75.oo and no haggling. It was late and I'm sure no one
would buy those. Wonder what happens to the stuff that is left over?

I have old and new machines too! I happen to like your light up stitch design panel. I have an old 1969 G. Fox & Co. special edition made by White that is all cream and burgandy enamel that looks like and old 50's Buick - I love it!

Talking about older machines. 1 .I picked one up Sunday on the side of the road. Machine, cabinet with 3 drawers, and all parts & book. But I do not know what kind it is. It only has a b "R" on the front. The book does not have a name one it at all. Just says Zig-Zag from Japan.
ANY CLUES to brand. Have not tried it yet.
    2. ALSO was given an old Singer in beautiful cabinet that I have not tried yet either.
    3. Was also given a cabinet no machine.
    Will show pics later.

IF it works and sews well, that is all that matters....I am not sure what they are laughing about. Looks like a nice machine to me.
