It's not as bad as you make it to be, I think it's rather nice. It will look nicer when you finally quilt it, and if you still don't like it, you can always donate it somewhere - the receipent will just love it!

ITA with the others... why would you think it is ghastly!? Looks great to me! Can't wait to see it quilted.
A quilting friend of mine has the Flying Geese thingie you mentioned and loves it. I have done the one seam Flying Geese method and it is super easy, much faster than the traditional way, and very accurate.

It is beautiful, finish it and get me inspired, lol.....I have yet to get started on my quilt. I have been restoring old, guess I will have to get started on a quilt. Any who it is great, lol....finish it and post Pic's.

It isn't ghastly; it's charming. If it were perfect, it would look machine made. I like the imperfections. It says that someone took the time to do it. Finish it and be proud. In years to come, you can pull it out and admire how far you've progressed.
