That is just beautiful. It does sound like a three year old to change her mind. Still it worked out great. My first quilt was for my DGD and all she wanted was a pink and purple quilt. I think I like yours better than mine. Great job and thanks for sharing. Your DGD is beautiful.

I had a blue, yellow and white bedroom for many years growing up. Mom (who did not sew) had a dickens of a time finding any bedspread and curtains. Finally ended up with a small calico all over print. Loved it at the time, but makes me cringe now! If I were doing it today, I'd pick a pattern that works for any fabrics---Chinese Coins maybe---and make a scrappy quilt in her colors. She's three, so she'll love it, no matter what. Oh---and I'd back it with fleece. My grandsons all look forward to their fleecy quilts.

Pretty quilt and I am sure she loves it! You know, I teach kdg and this year I have 14 little girls and 7 little boys in my room. In kdg, I will often say something like, "if you are wearing something 'blue' line up" or, " if you are wearing r-e-d, line up". This year...most days my girls are all wearing either purple, or pink! Probably not funny to most people but, my room is a sea of pink and purple most days! (And, lol, most of my little girls are dressed much more fashionably than me or my asst.)

It.s fascinating how little girls the world over love pink and purple!! My GD was pink and purple for years. Made her a quilt, then duvet cover/curtains to match. Three years on(she is now 11) she.s "into" turquoise!!!! Guess what! I made her a quilt in retro prints in turquoise! They take some keeping up with! My eldest GD (15) is at the black and white stage!!Your quilt is beautiful by the way!!!!
