    I used the bottom striped fabric to create the binding. The applique was self drafted-no pattern which was scary. My DIL wanted one just like the Pottery Barn airplane one which is now unavailable. ( So glad I copied the images way back.)
    Anyway my first delve in to applique quilts and loved it. My walking foot did not arrive in time so could only usng the quilting bar. Aplique was using freezer paper and liquid starch to turn edges.
