Hi Carol - I think Gimpy Grampy is a wonderful name! My GOM takes a bit of convincing to try something new, but he's ok once he does try something and decides he likes it! In fact, he can then be a bit of an obsessive GOM ... or even a pain in the backside GOM .....

I think it must be because they feel they have to prove something. Women are more relaxed about their talents, don't you think?

Your hubby does beautiful work. Love even the "masculine" quilt. So nice that you don't have to listen to complaining about how much stash you have.

Hi Cheri - he agrees with you, and I can tell you he now has his own sewing machine, cutters, board etc. Funny, now he has his own bibs and bobs, he looks after them much better than when he was pinching mine! He also does buy his own fabric - although sometimes I think this is because he likes the fuss made over him by the girls in the fabric shops we use - they are fascinated that he pieces and quilts!!

This man is a treasure. Don't you just love the freedom of doing your own thing with quilts. I think you have a real keeper there. Looks like he will keep you challenged.
