    The local quilt store was sponsoring a challenge called whirled peas. Now if you say that fast three times it will turn into something like "world peace". The challenge was to put that into fabric. I tried googling world peace to get ideas, but then I saw a pattern by moda, "freebird" that looked like it would work. I tried to make the center reflect the world. I used green for peas and for ecology. By luck I found the perfectly coordinating background fabric to mount the circle onto. What fun.
