    Got frustrated with DH not getting around to making one for me and can't see paying high prices for something so simple. Here it is.

    Old paint roller stuck in a base. JUust hacksawed it down to the right height and stuck it into a thick board. A liuttle crude, but it works!

    That's creative inovention! When you need the thread to be upright, just flip it sideways and stick a couple of books on either side.
