It is turning out very pretty. I guess you just have to play it buy ear to figure out the yardage on these blocks because it really doesnt tell you how big it is going to be, Just that the pattern is a 12 in block.

So amazing! I have also made Jacob's Ladder, but used more colors. Looking at yours and then mine different as night and day. That is what is so marvelous about quilting. We can all do the same pattern, but use different fabrics and they look sooo different.

just to give you an idea, here is the one I made for my DGD in '04

Purple, salmon (they don't picture those colors well) two shades of mint green and white on white

The pattern of the blocks alone comes out to 4'X4' and took about 1.5 yds of each material. Now on to the borders.

sd - looking foward to seeing pics of quilt with borders on.

I especially like the way you have used the colour placement in the blocks. It gives it a different look to how I have used the block in the past.

Really beautiful design...and so interesting, each individual coming up with a totally different look. Can't wait to see the end result.

Love your color combo and can't wait to see the finished quilt! I'm working one also, but using a scrappy palette. Also used the same pattern from QC.
