iF IT WERE MINE... EITHER AN ALL OVER LEAF or I'd do around the sq in a sq in a sq( even the tris if the block is BIG) then I'd do a leaf/vine thru the cream sqs on point & the lg rect. of blue& brown! you can send it 1 way to me for inspection! LOL!! very pretty!!

I really like your fabric choices and piecing, and agree it should not be overshadowed by the quilting. I'm visualizing single-line shadow quilting in the white triangles and 2 or 3 line in the white squares, either as the whole square or individual triangles. Or a shaped-to-the-piece FMQ spiral in the white triangles and squares. The blue calls out to me for something spikier, maybe a more angular meander, or one with spiky balls or stars on it here and there, and a small leafy vine or swirly meander in the brown. But even just SITD would set off that lovely design!

Well, it is a beautiful quilt, and you could always use the old adage "straight lines in the quilt, curved lines in the quilting". This is not a rule, and there are no quilt police, so have fun with it.
