Just beautiful, and they will love it, as will the little one.

Very, very pretty baby quilt! Adding the ribbon tabs was a wonderful idea for the little one.

I have never heard of a Tabby quilt... but I love the the ribbons on the pinwheels, I am going to have a Great grandson in Aug. and I think I am going to make a Tabby Quilt... Is that the real name for it?

    Default My July 4th project

Well there is a company that makes tabby things for babies in which they put all colors and textures of ribbons --- so I took the idea from them. -- I have made tons of receiving blankets using the ribbons. I use 1 yard of cotton and 1 yard of flannel I square them up right side together then while sewing around the outside edges I place ribbons ever so often ( be sure the ribbons are inside the blanket --- leaving a opening of about 3 or 4 inches. So you can turn inside out then I stitch twice origins the outer edge this looks great and secures the ribbons ! Then I sew cotton thread to tie the blanket together ! This makes a really nice summer blanket for baby and they LOVE the feel of the ribbon! Sure hope I did not bore you !

Very interesting how you added the ribbons and texture would also make a great fidget quilt.
