Really a spectacular presentation of a challenging pattern. I will be interested in seeing the top quilted and bound. I have seen this pattern quilted in lots of different ways and most all of them were really pleasing to the eye. Don't forget to show us what you do to finish this lovely piece.

This pattern really is not challenging, it is pretty straightforward. (2) blocks, no complicated piecing. Half square triangles are the most complicated components. The placement creates the visual intrigue. As long as you pay attention to the layout any confident beginner can make this quilt! (I only say a confident because you do need to be able to sew a straight seam & match seams up) there are only 9 blocks - (5) of one & (4)of the second. Took me a weekend

To make it king size I would add another set of blocks on one side & bottom, alternating like they do so you would make the alternating set, then the set that matches the final set in both directions. Then you would need to adjust the sizes of your borders. I hope that you understand that, if not send me a pm and I will helping you figure it out.

You would need to determine how large you want your king to be, but I do think the additional 2 rows in 2 directions would do it

Are the colors always 2 colors with a black and white solid? For instance for a green would you use 2 colors of green with black and white or use a very dark green plus 2 others in green?
