Many good places benefit from lap quilts. This one would make a nice wheelchair quilt for someone in a rest home, hospice or hospital. I make many small quilts for babies and for 'drag arounds' to give to foster kids. I still tear up when I recall an emergency foster parent telling me of a child taken from a meth lab house. He had literally nothing when he arrived at 2 AM but the teddy given by the police officer and a quilt of mine from social services. Even his clothes had to be destroyed. There is no overestimating the value of a loving quilt gift. This boy was clutching his quilt when he left her home months later.
