Thanks everyone! I appreciate your nice comments. If you've not ever visited J Michelle Watts' website to see her patterns, you should. She is a great designer! I love the Southwest flair she designs from.
To DianneK - I estimated it took me 4 hours average for each cross block, including tracing the pattern to the fusible, fusing, and blanket stitching. It took me another roughly 1 to 1-1/2 hours to do the sashing for each block. It really wasn't bad - I worked on it mainly in the evenings when I got home from work - some days I would complete a block, others days I might work 3 or 4 days on a block depending on what else was happening. The quilting took me right at 20 hours on a longarm.
It was a nice project. I have another couple of her patterns that I'll be doing in the next few weeks - and at least two more I'd like to purchase. She does have some free block designs on her site too!
