My Latest Confetti Art Quilt

Thank you for your interest in how these confetti quilts are constructed. There are some instructions on the Internet and I did read up on some of them, but then I just went "by the seat of my pants" and tried it! ....I have one picture of "A Summer Ride" when it was in progress with the buggy pic that I used for inspiration.

No, I did not copy the buggy on fabric. I'm not that smart! I enlarged the picture till I thought it was the right size, then traced around the edges and other outlines and cut out fabric pieces. I cut a hole for the window and placed an opaque white fabric under, using a glue stick and I also backed some pieces with iron on adhesive. I constructed the buggy, then placed it on the quilt and then put the tulle over everything. I did use an Exacto knife for some of the small cuts (the wheel). I just enjoy the process and creating something that's one of a kind.

I was surprised too that the black tulle wouldn't darken the white highlights, but it doesn't. I have used brown and also a dark purple tulle. Using a light color tulle shows up too much, but the dark blends in.
